We recently reported on the Lingenfelter LS9 Camaro running 10′s consistently, but the car has now hit the 9′s! The LPE LS9 Camaro made its first 9-second quarter mile pass at the Muncie Dragway this past weekend. [VIDEO HERE]
With three total quarter-mile passes in the 9′s, the Lingenfelter Camaro’s quickest run was a 9.974 at 141.64 mph. Lingenfelter originally debuted its 855 HP LS9 Camaro SS at the Camaro5Fest in Valdosta, Ga., where it previously ran a 10.36 quarter-mile at 139.95 mph at South Georgia Motorsports Park. It boasts a Lingenfelter development C6 ZR1 LS9 engine – which includes the LPE High Flow supercharger snout front cover, LS9 Overdrive Harmonic Balancer and LS9 2.38 diameter upper supercharger pulley – and a TR6060 manual transmission.
Although this isn’t the very first street Camaro to hit 9′s (David Brook’s LMR LSX 427 Camaro did so last year), it’s always exciting to see more Camaros drop into the single digits!
