We’ve been waiting to hear about and see the first Camaro Pedders Coilovers installation by a member and HERE it is. It took member E85LSX approximately 4 hours to perform the “very straight forward” install of the Pedders xa adjustable coilover suspension. No special tools are required for the install aside from a good socket set, although air tools certainly speed up the install. As expected from Pedders parts, the coilovers were of great quality and fit.
Although E86LSX has not yet had an opportunity to fully customize and dial-in the suspension settings to his exact liking, even in its Pedders factory settings and recommended ride height, the coilover suspension has given his Camaro reduced body roll and tighter handling response. He has described the improvement as a night and day difference. The added bonus of lowering the Camaro is that not only does it lower the center of gravity for improved handling, but we think that reducing the wheel-fender gap gives the Camaro an even sportier stance!
