One of the icons of the original SCCA Trans Am series was the distinctive Blue and Yellow 1969 Camaro Z28 entered by Roger Penske and driven by the brilliant Mark Donohue, who dominated on the way to winning that year?s Trans Am championship. It was no surprise then when General Motors? High Performance Vehicle Operations and Chevrolet Division together drew on that historical heritage to create this Camaro prototype race car. Built by Milford Proving Ground technicians in GM?s famed Building 27 in 2008 and tested at the Milford Proving Ground, the car made its debut at the 2008 SEMA show as one of four featured Chevrolet concept vehicles… more details.

Chevrolet will once again be attending the annual Camaro5 Fest and as always they’ll be bringing a team of designers and engineers, as well as a fleet of cars for you to check out (and drive in some cases).
Ride’n Drive
Essentially, Chevy brings a bunch of new cars and trucks with them and lets people take them for a spin around the block. But we get a “special” edition of the ride’n drive. Because, in addition the Volt, new Silverado, and other awesome Chevys…they’re including 1LE Camaros, and Convertible Camaros!

INDIANAPOLIS, Wednesday, July 24, 2013 – ESPN “SportsCenter” anchor and Indiana University graduate Sage Steele will drive the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Pace Car to lead the field of NASCAR Sprint Cup Series superstars tothe start of the Crown Royal Presents the Samuel Deeds 400 at the Brickyard Powered by BigMachineRecords.com on Sunday, July 28 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Chevrolet also paced the previous 19 Sprint Cup races at IMS, and this year’s Brickyard 400 will mark the sixth time a Camaro has paced the race

We would like to officially announce the 2013 Camaro5Fest IV YouTube Video Contest. Everyone loves the footage from the previous Fests and this year is going to blow everyone’s mind. We all know there are a ton of talented Camaro5 members here, so grab your video camera and shoot away. Packing for flights, gassing up the Camaro for the long-haul, the "Camarovans", hotel hopping, hot lapping, drag racing and CamaroCrossing. If it happened at the Fest we want to see it… The top five videos will be chosen by the Admins and Mods.
The winner will be selected in a poll by all of Camaro5 and will receives a JADA 1:18th Yellow with Black Stripes Diecast SS Camaro signed by the Camaro Team.
