GM announced today the next-generation Chevrolet Camaro will be assembled at the Lansing Grand River (LGR) Assembly Plant in Lansing, Michigan. This decision is based on a comprehensive business case.
Lower capital investment and improved production efficiencies were key factors in the business case. The Camaro is the only rear-wheel drive (RWD) vehicle built at Oshawa. Assembling the next-generation Camaro at LGR consolidates the RWD assembly with the Cadillac CTS and ATS. As a result, GM will continue to deliver top-quality vehicles as efficiently as possible.
GM will continue to meet the production targets agreed to with the Canadian and Ontario governments during the 2009 restructuring.
Production of the current generation Chevrolet Camaro will continue on the flexible manufacturing line at Oshawa Assembly until the end of the current product lifecycle. Continue reading HERE.

Check out the now completed conversion by a site member of his Camaro – from L99 to LS3 engine.
After nearly 3 years of owning his Camaro, the decision was made to convert his L99 to an LS3 with cam install. Installed was a 3-bolt Comp cam 235/247 .617 .624 and a 3600 stall converter along with a trans cooler, trailing arms, and oil catch can.
This lucky member even had his wife’s full support, who even lent a hand. Check out the build journal (with photos and videos) inside.

On a recent Saturday, the Sin City Camaro Club cruised out to the Hoover Dam for some photo opportunities. This wasn’t a stop, shoot, and go-before-authorities-come occassion though.
The friendly local police department actually shut down the roadway on top of the dam for the crew, giving us these awesome photos to see.
As if that wasn’t enough, one of the members in attendance is an employee of the dam, so the entire group received an all access tour to places the normal tours don’t go. Photos of the tour can also be seen inside.

GM Program Engineering Manager Mark Stielow has been building hot rods for about as long as he’s been driving and many of those cars have ended up on the covers of car-enthusiast magazines. His latest car to hit the cover of Hot Rod magazine is a Camaro called Red Devil.
He optimizes old hot rods with new technology (there are many photos of his builds in the video), and he’s had seven that have been featured in national publications. He also recently took his hot rod Camaro head to head against the ZL1 on the test track.
