If these pics [full gallery] are any indication/prediction, it seems that one of the special colors that the ZL1 will be offered is will be Synergy Green. Flashy color for a flashy Camaro This particular test car doesn’t have the ZL1 front fascia attached yet, but the rest of the car is clearly ZL1 (from the wheels, to brakes, to quad exhaust, trunk spoiler, hood, etc.)

Synergy green metallic is currently an offered color for standard 2011 Camaros, but will only be a limited run color. This doesn’t come as much of a surprise as GM has previously hinted to the color. From the online chat transcript from the Chicago autoshow (where the ZL1 was unveiled to the world:

It has now also been announced that the 5th gen Camaro Indy Pace Cars (2009, 2010, 2011) and the limited edition Neiman Marcus Convertible will all be on display at the 2011 Camaro5Fest!

Here is the list of Camaros announced so far for the event:

The 2010 Camaro of MTI Racing was selected to lead the field of Championship racecars at the 1st annual NARRA US GT Championship held at Road Atlanta. The Camaro is equipped with a unique “Twin Charged” 1000hp engine. Twin 61mm rear-mount turbos feed a Magnuson TVS2300 Supercharger, blowing through a 6.2L LS3 engine with American Racing Headers. The Camaro also sports a host of suspension upgrades by MTI Racing.

The US GT Championship is an exciting grid of GT class racing cars including Vipers, Porsches, Lambos (Lamborghinis), Ferraris, Corvettes, BMWs. Hosted by North America’s most recognizable TV car guy, Tom Hnatiw, the US GT Series will be produced as web broadcasts and will be shot exclusively with GoPro Cameras. The series will also host coverage of the Dodge Viper Cup on the Versus network.

The Bob Bondurant School of High Performance Driving at Firebird Raceway will be hosting “Hot Laps” during Camaro5Fest II on Saturday, April 16th, using their fleet of 2011 SS Camaros. “Hot Laps” are professional Bondurant instructors driving participants at race speeds, around the Bondurant School Road Course.

GM has stated (and as indicated in our ZL1 FAQ) that the 2012 Camaro ZL1 will be available in all regular production colors. Naturally, our photoshop masters set to work to give everyone some great ideas of what the ZL1 will look in all colors [compilation here].

Whether the ZL1 receives one or more special colors remains to be seen, but it would certainly not surprise us.
