One of our site sponsors, Eric-MPD1, recently attended the Woodward Dream Cruise and had a unique opportunity to get a peek inside the GM Heritage Center garage. He hit jackpot when he realized he was getting a rare look at some of GM’s older and newer concept cars, including the beautiful Dusk Camaro which GM exhibited at SEMA 2009.
Some of the other notable cars spotted (and pictured here) are: Pontiac Solstice Concept, “Sideswipe” Corvette from Transformers, “Jazz” Solstice from Transformers, Cadillac Sixteen Concept, Cadillac Cien, Chevy Volt, GMC Granite, Corvette Stingray Concept (from 90′s), Chevy SS Concept, Cadillac Urban Luxury Concept.

The very first 2012 Transformers 3 Package Camaro special edition was introduced at last week’s Woodward dream cruise and of course our members have posted the very first photos of this special edition Camaro.
In conjunction with the 2012 Transformers Camaro’s public debut, GM has profiled the Transformer packages’ designer – Adam Barry, Senior Creative Manager, Corvette and Camaro, Accessories and Specialty Builds. He has been responsible for overseeing the design of the Camaro’s various special editions and packages, including the various Transformer editions.

The first Camaros with GM’s new LFX V6 engine are now being delivered to our site members, and the first pics of it have been posted.
To recap, the Camaro’s new 3.6L direct injection V6 LFX engine went into production beginning this summer. It delivers an SAE-certified 323 horsepower (241 kW) at 6,800 rpm and an increase of 11 horsepower (8 kW) over the 2011 V6 engine, with no compromise in fuel economy.
The LFX delivers the most standard power in the regular sports car segment. It is also 20.5 pounds (9.3 kg) lighter than its predecessor. EPA-estimated highway fuel economy for the LFX V6 Camaro is 30 mpg (2LS model).

This past weekend saw the first Texas-wide meet of Camaro5 members, and boy did it not disappoint. To say that it was a Texas-sized meet would be cliche, but we’ll say it anyway, because it was!
Over 50 Camaros from our site members flooded downtown Austin for their meet and greet. Camaros from all over Texas were in attendance, with large contingents hailing from Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, and Austin.
Those in attendance weren’t shy about using their cameras, so check out the huge photo and video set inside!

The Woordward Dream Cruise officially takes place tomorrow, Saturday, but the build-up has been taking place all week long. Forum member rtcat600man has been documenting the exciting lead up to this weekend’s festivities with his camera, and will also be posting photos from the entire weekend.

So I was driving in Orange and decided to stop by Selman Chevrolet and see my buddy Tommy Edrisi (one of the better Camaro Salesman you’ll ever meet). As I walk in the show room, I see a Callaway Camaro that was at SEMA last year as well as a Synergy Edition SS and a Synergy Edition LT. Tommy then sees me and tells me that they just received a 45th Anniversary Convertible that belongs to a Camaro5 member [Full Photo Set HERE]. I told him that I think that this might be the first 45th Anniversary in California. I asked him who it was and he tells me that she goes by ExFlirt.
I met ExFlirt at the OC Auto Show last year so it’s pretty cool that I get to see her car first. I asked him if he would let me take pictures of the car so that ExFlirt can have them in her car journal. It’s a very beautiful car and I’m sure it would look much better once it’s washed and detailed. Congratulations ExFlirt!
