Fueled by The Fallen ANGEL CAMAROS Unveiled for 9/11

Posted by: admin In: Main ()

With the 10 year anniversary of 9/11 coming up this weekend, five new pearl white Camaros have been commemorated to memorialize the date, one to represent each aspect of the events.

One car honors the First Responders at Ground Zero, two represent the Trade Towers, another commemorates those lost at the Pentagon and the fifth Angel Car honors the flight victims lost on board each of the four flights. In dynamic recognition, each Angel Cruiser lists the names of every victim lost on that horrific day.

The 2012 Camaro ZL1 is not yet released to market (expected Spring 2012), but it appears that a Track Package or High Performance Package is already being tested for the ZL1 [Hi-Res PHOTO]!

The biggest telltale sign is the prototype’s more aggressive hood cowl, featuring an actual induction scoop/inlet. The regular Camaro ZL1 cowl features only heat extractors, but no air intake/inlet for extra cooling and air induction.

This prototype also features Sparco race seats and a rollcage, which could be installed for testing purposes only, but nevertheless could be potential components in some ZL1 track pack option.

Don’t mind the door decal, as these types of decals have been spotted on previous ZL1 prototypes, and are used as camouflage and to deceive.

Stay tuned for more info as we get it!

Chevy Making Strides Against Breast Cancer at NASCAR

DETROIT (2011-09-02) – A yellow flag at two upcoming NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races will generate some green to fight breast cancer.

Chevrolet will make a $200 donation to the American Cancer Society for each caution lap that a specially themed pink Camaro SS pace car [PHOTOS] runs in upcoming NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races at Atlanta Motor Speedway and Richmond International Raceway. The Atlanta race begins 7:30 p.m. Sunday (televised on ESPN). The Richmond race is 7:30 p.m. Sept. 10 (televised on ABC).

Chevrolet’s commitment to battling breast cancer won’t stop on the track. In its centennial year, the brand is partnering with the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer initiative leading up to October, which is national Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and Chevy’s Nov. 3 birthday. Other Making Strides Against Breast Cancer events will be announced later.

“For 100 years, Chevy has been helping people along the journey of life in countless ways,” said Alan Batey, Chevrolet vice president, Sales and Service. “But as we all know, sometimes life’s journeys take detours or end too early. Together with our race fans, Chevrolet wants to help the American Cancer Society create a world with less cancer, more birthdays and longer journeys.”

Currently, Chevy driver Jimmie Johnson (No. 48) is tied for the lead in NASCAR Sprint Cup Series points. Johnson is the defending NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion and winner of five consecutive championships.
